Fort Hill Activity Center to Host Fifth Anniversary Celebration on August 21


The Naperville Park District opened the Fort Hill Activity Center five years ago as the community’s first major indoor recreation space and center for year-round healthy physical activity for all ages and abilities .

To celebrate the Fort Hill Activity Center’s fifth anniversary, the Park District is inviting the community to a free special event with activities and refreshments for the whole family.

The celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 21 at the Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive.

Attendees can sample fitness classes, see program demonstrations, enjoy refreshments, and enter sweepstakes for prizes including a 6-month and 12-month Fort Hill Fitness membership and a variety of giveaways from local sponsors.

Guests will also have the opportunity to receive a free commemorative t-shirt for participating in a 5-year celebration challenge; gifts and samples only available while supplies last.

The schedule of events is as follows:

• Free gymnastics from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

• Zumba from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

• Functional training in intervals from 10h to 10h30

• Dance show from 10:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

The Fort Hill Activity Center has become a favorite destination for fitness and community activities for all ages.

The nearly 84,000 square foot facility includes an indoor walking/running track, fitness center, gymnasium with basketball, volleyball and pickleball/badminton courts, dedicated gym area, studios group exercises, multi-purpose rooms, a childcare area and an indoor playground.

The facility enabled the Park District to offer new basketball and gymnastics programs for children, a variety of sports and scheduled activities for adults, and a state-of-the-art fitness space available through membership. .
