Friday, August 26, 2022

9:28 a.m. – Deputies responded to an area in Washington Township to check for a disabled vehicle on the road.

10.10am – MPs intervened in an area of ​​the town of Van Wert to help with traffic control during a motor vehicle accident.

11:03 a.m. – Deputies checked an area around the Van Wert County Courthouse in the town of Van Wert for a subject who had acted disorderly inside the courthouse.

3.01pm – Deputies responded to a residence in the village of Middle Point to investigate a report of a vacant residence being broken into and contractor’s tools being stolen.

4:10 p.m. – Deputies had a citizen in the town of Van Wert assist with a topic from Van Wert Health.

10:20 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence in the town of Van Wert to help a subject locked out of their vehicle.

10.42pm – Deputies responded to an area of ​​Marsh Road in Pleasant Township to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Saturday, August 27, 2022

3:14 a.m. – Accompanied deputies Willshire Fire, Wren EMS and Van Wert EMS responded to a scene in Willshire
Township on private property, near State Route 49 and State Route 81 for a four wheel ATV accident report. Unit 1 was traveling on a trail near the intersection of State Route 49 and State Route 81. The Unit 1 driver went up a hill at approximately 15 mph hitting a tree, causing a collision the 2015 Polaris Razor on the side. The driver and passenger were ejected. The driver of unit one, Lacy Brister of Willshirewas transported to Park view
and the passenger, Joseph Schmidt of Decatur, was transported to Van Wert Health. The crash is still under investigation; alcohol is suspected to be involved.

8.17am – Deputies responded to a residence in the village of Middle Point to investigate a report of a loose dog attacking and injuring another animal.

9:30 a.m. – Deputies responded to a residence in the village of Middle Point to investigate the report of harassment and a possible breach of the protective order. The incident is still under investigation.

12:45 p.m. – Wren EMS sent to a residence in the village of Willshire for a subject who fainted.

1:50 p.m. – Sent Van Wert EMS to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility for a subject with high blood pressure.

2:46 p.m. – Deputies responded with Middle Point EMS at a Washington Township location to a report of a four-wheeled ATV hit by a vehicle with a minor injured. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

4:42 p.m. – Sent Scott Fire and deputies to the residence on Elm Sugar Road in Union Township on a report of a propane tank that had been knocked over and leaking.

9:20 p.m. – Deputies responded to the Village of Venedocia on a complaint from subjects at the park after hours.

10:47 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of ​​Lincoln Highway in Union Township to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

1:09 a.m. – Deputies responded to a residence in Jennings Township to investigate a residential burglary alarm.

4:47 p.m. – Sent Wren EMS to a residence in Willshire Township for a subject with diabetes problems.

5:56 p.m. – Emergency medical services dispatched from Middle Point to a location in Ridge Township for a subject having difficulty breathing.

6:38 p.m. – Convoy fire sent to Buckeye Power Station on Mentzer Road in tuly Township to investigate the report of smoke from an unknown source.

6:42 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence on Bergner Road in Pleasant Township to investigate a harassment complaint.

6:45 p.m. – Deputies responded to Scott Village to meet with a Paulding County deputy to help transport a passenger.
