1:34 a.m. — Deputies responded to a residential alarm in Pleasant Township.

9:23 a.m. – Deputies intervened at a residence in the town of Van Wert to help a subject locked out of their vehicle.

9:28 a.m. – Deputies have filed a complaint for breach of a protection order.

11:44 a.m. – Ohio City Emergency Medical Services dispatch to a residence in Ohio City Village for an ill subject.

12:04 p.m. – Dispatch of Van Wert EMS to a residence in the city of Van Wert for a subject with difficulty breathing.

12:55 p.m. – Dispatch of Van Wert EMS to a residence in the city of Van Wert for a subject having difficulty breathing.

2:01 p.m. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert City Court for failure to appear. Tracey Wilson, 47, of Van Wert, is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility pending court. Wilson was located by Van Wert City Police.

3:17 p.m. – Deputies spoke with a subject from the village of Convoy referring to being harassed by their landlord.

3:43 p.m. – Deputies responded to a location in the town of Van Wert to help a subject locked out of his vehicle.

6:25 p.m. – Sending Grover Hill Fire to a residence of Hoaglin Township for a smoke report from below the residence.

7:33 p.m. – Shipment of Van Wert Fire to Cooper Farms at Hoaglin Common in fire alarm.

Blankenship, 23, of Fort Jennings, is being held at the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility pending court. Blankenship was located by Van Wert Police.

Saturday July 23, 2022

2:29 a.m. — Deputies responded to a location in Ridge Township over a complaint of excessive noise.

5:11 a.m. – Deputies responded to a Ridge Township location for a complaint of excessive noise. While investigating the complaint, deputies found a side-by-side ATV. Drew Garrett Opperman20 years, from Mendonwas arrested for underage drinking. Opperman was later released and will appear in court at a later date.

6:01 a.m. – Sent Middle Point EMS to a location in Ridge Township for a sick person.

8:16 a.m. – Deputies responded to a location in the town of Van Wert to help Van Wert police with a combative topic.

9:38 a.m. – Deputies and Ohio City Fire responded to an area of ​​West carmen Street in the Village of Ohio City for a downed and burning tree, and downed power lines.

Sunday July 24, 2022

1:27 a.m. – Deputies responded with Wren Fire to a report of a structure fire on U.S. Route 224 in Harrison Township. Willshire
Fire, Convoy Fire and Decatur, Indiana responded to the fire. The Van Wert County CERT team was also on hand to assist with traffic control and assist residents.

8:14 a.m. – Emergency Medical Services dispatch from Middle Point to a location in Ridge Township for a subject with chest pain.

9:28 a.m. – Deputies responded to an alarm at a location in Hoaglin Canton.

9:57 a.m. – Deputies along with Convoy Fire & EMS were dispatched to the John Brown Road and Union Pleasant Road area in Pleasant Township for a motor vehicle accident. The Unit 1 driver told deputies he was traveling south on John Brown and did not notice the curve and tried to manipulate it. Unit 1 then went left of center, skidded sideways and ended in the southeast ditch of John Brown and Union Pleasant. Unit 1 sustained crippling damage and was towed off the scene by Superior Collision. The Unit 1 driver was transported to Van Wert Health by Convoy EMS with minor injuries. Unit One was a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400 driven by Teran Van Wert’s Lee Conner.

10:33 a.m. – Deputies responded to a location in the town of Van Wert for a commercial alarm.

12:11 p.m. – Deputies responded to a Jackson Township residence for a loose dog.

12:36 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence in Harrison Township to help a subject locked out of their vehicle.

1:04 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a reckless operation on U.S. Route 127 in Liberty Township.

1:46 p.m. – Deputies responded to a location in the town of Van Wert to assist Van Wert police in responding to a call from a subject making threats.

4:03 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area in Jennings Township following a complaint about a loose dog.

7:11 p.m. – Convoy EMS dispatched to a residence in Convoy Village to assist a subject with a medical device.

9:35 p.m. – Convoy EMS dispatched to a residence in the village of Convoy to assist a subject with a medical device.
